Where We Travel
We're based at 1490 Premier Dr in Clawson, and most of our calls stay close to home. We regularly work in Huntington Woods and Pleasant Ridge, both about 4 miles out, and Beverly Hills and Lathrup Village at roughly 5 miles. Bloomfield Hills sits about 6 miles away, Bingham Farms about 7, and Center Line about 7 as well.
We'll also run out to Franklin (8 miles), Utica (9 miles), and Highland Park (10 miles) when the job calls for it. Past that ring - Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake Village, and the Grosse Pointe communities at 16 miles - we still take calls, but drive time factors into scheduling and sometimes into the quote itself. If you're not sure whether your address falls in range, just call and ask before you book anything.
We don't cover every town in southeast Michigan, and we won't pretend otherwise. If you're calling from somewhere well outside this list, tell us up front so we can be honest about whether we're the right fit or whether the drive makes sense for both of us.
Who Turns Up
We don't pad this page with a founding year or a headcount, because those aren't why you're calling. What matters is that the person who comes to your door is the one who diagnoses the problem and gives you a number on the spot, not a call center guess from someone who's never seen your garage.
We work on the doors that are actually on the ground in this area. A lot of the housing stock here dates from 1938 to 1958, with most of it built before 1960 across the 25 neighborhoods we serve - that means original torsion setups, older track hardware, and openers that have been swapped once or twice over the decades. We've seen that mix enough to know what a quote needs to account for before we ever quote it.
Winters here are cold and hard on doors - bottom seals crack, springs lose tension faster, openers strain in the low temperatures. That's the environment we price for, not a generic national average.
The Work We Take On
A phone quote can only go so far. We can usually give you a solid range for a broken spring, a slipped cable, or a opener that's stopped responding, because those jobs are consistent once we know the door's size and age. What we can't price sight unseen is anything involving a bent track, a cracked panel, or a door that's been forced - those need eyes on the hardware before we commit to a number.
To get you an accurate quote, tell us the door's approximate age, whether it's a single or double, and what it's actually doing (won't open, makes noise, comes off track, opener runs but door doesn't move). A photo helps more than a long description.
We work on repair and replacement for standard residential doors, torsion and extension spring systems, openers, tracks, rollers, cables, and panels. Given the age of a lot of local housing - median build year around 1958 - we run into obsolete hardware often enough that sometimes replacement is the honest answer instead of a repair that won't hold. We'll tell you which one applies before we start, not after.
